I still hold firmly that an entry-level job in any field means entry level. Yes , a candidate might not have an internship but have some of the basic skills needed for a role. I would still interview them and give them a chance. A lot of post-grads right now are struggling not only to get a job in their field but also to get any job. The market is oversaturated with talent, and younger people are not given a fair chance. I believe if we continue to ignore this issue and continue with our current hiring process, the labor market in 5 years will be volatile and open to distress.
This is exactly what my pivot hero series is about, navigating change when you have no experience to. It starts with creating things that bridge experiences of now and with the values of where you want to be. ✨️
Great resource to pass on to my mentees. Thanks for creating!
Great tips. I would like to understand how others have handled career pauses. Any good advice on presenting it?
This was so assuring of some things that I had thought about but worried if they still work! thanks for sharing 🙏

What field of work are you in if you don’t mind me asking ?
